What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Historic. Elegant. Tailored Family Vacations.
At the turn of the last century, America's prominent families created great retreats in Newport, Bar Harbor, and the Berkshires. These mansions and estates were designed so that families could leave the chaos of the city and come together in gorgeous settings. The Carnegies, the Vanderbilts, the Morgans, the Winthrops and others came to the Berkshires and created a flourishing community. In the mid-1980s, eight of the most prominent and beautiful estates were designated by Lenox as its "Great Estates". One of them, Lindsley Estate, has been restored to its original use as a single family home and is now available as your private retreat on more than forty acres with its own bridle trails and towering old Beech trees. Modern conveniences include wifi, air conditioning, outdoor BBQ and fire pit. Lindsley provides a unique and remarkable setting for you and your fortunate guests. Our relationships with nearby properties and cultural institutions ensure you and your family a rich culinary, cultural, and sporting experience.

The mansion rests on a hill overlooking a great lawn and Yokun Ridge. This Berkshire "cottage" contains seven tastefully renovated bedrooms, each with their own unique story, as well as three smaller bedrooms perfect for children, and great spaces for family to gather: a conservatory with gorgeous views for meals, a music room, a classic library and game room. Guests may enjoy Lindsley together for a one-of-a-kind, tailored experience with one family's private use of the property, pre-trip and daily concierge service, personal chef upon request and scheduled activities both on and nearby the estate. A stay at Lindsley is a unique and magical experience for your family.

Great spaces where families gather:
From the spacious foyer to the music room, library, dining room and conservatory, Lindsley's first floor is an elegant example of Gilded Age style. Original mantles, rare wood paneling, gorgeous rugs, statues and exquisite furniture can be found in every room.

The Foyer: Plenty of natural light, crown molding, refurbished oak floors, historic artwork and incredible oriental rugs are just some of the foyer's features.

The Library: Dark wood paneled cabinetry and book-lined shelves envelop this room with a club-like atmosphere. Rich leather chairs and a Chesterfield sofa provide comfort for reading, knitting, or just a solitary moment to stare into the fire. A Sarouk carpet made for the American market, c. 1910, with jewel tone flowers and foliage add warmth and richness. An American hunt scene on a reverse painted frame hangs above the mantel, flanked by brass candle sticks and a bronze horse sculpture.

The Music Room: Generously proportioned with high ceilings and multiple windows for maximum benefit of natural light and ventilation, the living room is a wonderful room for entertaining. There is a magnificent large scale marble fireplace that influenced the palette of this grand room. Also, you see a Steinway grand piano, oil paintings, Chinese vase lamps, demilune wood tables, and silk rugs.

The Conservatory: Positioned on the west wing of the mansion, this gorgeous room is one of the brightest in the house with plenty of windows and a gorgeous view of Yokun Ridge. Beautifully restored to its original beauty, this space is perfect for your morning coffee and newspaper.

The Dining Room: A thirty-six light golden chandelier is central to the dining room. The English Oak wood paneling on the walls has the original paint of ochre, orange and yellow hues that are reflected in the new silk drapes on the four large windows. The marble carved fireplace is original. The floors are wide plank hickory, covered by an oriental rug. The perfect place for a large formal family meal.

The Kitchen: Surrounded by original cabinetry and white subway tile, the main kitchen is large enough for a group of friends, or a few cooks, to enjoy together. It is equipped with a 10-burner, 2-oven Wolf stove, a double sink, two large windows, a hand washing sink, a small breakfast table and plenty of stainless steel counter space, as well as many fun cooking gadgets like a bread maker, ice cream maker, and waffle iron to name a few.

Multimedia Center: The media room has a full entertainment system including Wii, Dolby Digital surround sound, flat screen television, blu-ray player, satellite TV and even Karaoke.

Accommodations:
The Master Bedroom - Easterly View, Juliet balcony, two fireplaces, 200 Square Foot bathroom with original Nickel fixtures. Anchored by a “palace-size” Oushak Peshawar carpet, this grand room features a Georgian style sofa with loose down cushions in a pistachio green woven fabric at the foot of the bed. There is a pair of Biedermeier fruitwood open armchairs (not pictured here) from the first quarter of the 19th Century. Early 20th C. floral watercolors in shades of pink add a feminine touch. A group of early 20th Century English prints depicting the Four Seasons hang on either side of the fireplace

The French Room - Southerly View, hand sewn mattress, wood fireplace, original bath fixtures. Setting the tone in this decidedly French and luxuriously inviting room is a Louise XV-style chaise lounges chair with cabriole legs in old white paint and a Louise XV-style Bergere with a curved arched padded back, molded frame and cabriole legs. To the left of the bed is a French tulip wood bijouterie cabinet with a marquetry decorated lift top opening to a mirrored interior, c. 1880, and to the right is a French fruitwood one drawer stand with cabriole legs, c. 1870.

The Botanical Bedroom - Southerly View, hand sewn mattress, wood fireplace, original bath fixtures. Spring fresh colors highlight this wonderful room with views out to the Great Lawn. A grand late 19th Century portrait of Sarah Oakley Vander Poel in an elaborate laurel leaf and ribbon gilt frame hangs over the fireplace. A Biedermeier secretaire with ivory escutcheons and pulls as well as a Biedermeier sleigh bed, both c. 1840, decorate the room. There is a 19th Century print with reverse painting on glass matt in an octagonal frame above the secretaire.

The Blue Bedroom - Westerly view, hand sewn mattress, upholstered walls, original bath fixtures. Toile, toile, toile... Softened with walls upholstered in spectacular blue and white Chinese Chippendale toile de jouy fabric this lovely room faces west to a spectacular view of Lenox Mountain. A large deep blue Chinese carpet and two tufted Edwardian slipper chairs covered in coordinating toile add to the comfort of this lovely room. A group of four blue and white transferware plates with pagodas, circa 1930, and a pair of carved cork Asian scenes in gilt frames add to the décor.

The West Wing Suite - 450 Square Feet, hand sewn mattress, extraordinary views, original bath fixtures, views of the sunset. Softened by toile de jouy fabric paneled walls and silk lined bed hangings these diminutive rooms evoke the color of comfort, soft and subtle. Speaking to the view off to the west of Lenox Mountain the Stark needlepoint carpet complements the seasonal colors of verdant green and apricot of the setting sun. An American print , ca. 1880’s of Central Park, adds graphic punch. French prints of fashion , ca. 1850’s, in oval frames hang on either side of the bed. The West Wing Suite is complete with a separate room furnished with two twin beds and matching upholstery. The bathroom, featuring an original porcelain sink and nickel faucet, is located directly across the hall and is shared between these two rooms.

The Petite - Southerly view, hand sewn mattress, wood fireplace, tiled walk-in shower, mirrored vanity, antique rug. This bedroom is charmingly detailed and wrapped in comfort with thick, richly embroidered silk bed hangings and window treatments. Edwardian tufted slipper chairs are pulled close to the marble hearth decorated with Staffordshire dogs and French prints of children’s games. There is a skirted, mirror topped dressing table with patentated French figures where one can prepare for the evening’s events. This room has a shoe closet, two hanging closets and a closet full of original drawers. The queen size bed is a Gardner Mattress.
